Late Antiquity Metallurgical Complex and Settlement "Kalo"

The late antiquity and early Byzantine settlement with the metal smelting furnaces have been awarded the status of monuments of culture of the "local significance" class. The late antiquity metallurgical complex is located in the Kalo locality in the lands of the village of Popovyane, to the north-west of the village of Allino. The site was archeologically examined in the period of 1968-1973. Today, one can notice on the surface the ruins of an early Christian church (basilica type). It is necessary to uncover again the remains and to exhibit the same.
