"Holy Apostles Peter and Paul" Church
Until recently, not much was known of the "Holy Apostles Peter and Paul" temple which is located in the village of Belchin itself. And it is supposed that it has preserved some of the icons - the heritage of the medieval church on the "Saint Spass" hill. From the personal gospel of father Bone Stoinev, it becomes clear that the building of this temple started in 1884, and its official dedication took place a year later. The bell-tower was erected in the end of the 30's and 40's of the 20th century. As the church decayed more and more, a full renovation of it became necessary which was done in 1997 - 2000, and the bell-tower was turned into a dome with two church bells. Each icon in the temple carries the name of its donors which makes it easier to trace back the old family genealogies in the village of Belchin.
